Then he directed the highly regarded film Lakshya in 2004 and the commercially successful film Don in 2006. Additionally, in 2007 he wrote and directed the HIV/AIDS-themed short film Positive.

In 2008, he debuted as an actor and a singer in the film Rock On, which was a hit.
