1. Sarang IIT Madras

It is a five-day programme organised by IITs in Chennai and Madras. Previously, this event was known as Mardi Gras, but it is now named Sarang!

It ranks second on this list due to the large range of cultural events (music and dance performances), celebrities, and competitions it hosts. 2. OASIS, BITS Pilani

OASIS, the yearly cultural event of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, began as a small festival in 1971. OASIS is a 96-hour non-stop festival that takes place over four days in the month of October and is known to draw involvement from more than 200 colleges in India. Dance, music, stage performances, drama, fashion shows, and treasure hunts are among the events at this buzzing festival.

Exposure, Rocktaves, Rap Wars, Choreo, and Mr. & Ms. Oasis are some of the notable activities of the festival. However, the "prof show" or professional shows, where performers/groups like Good Shoes, TAAQ, Neeraj Shridhar, the Shakey Rays, and Kailash Kher come to perform, draw the largest audiences.

3. BGITimelapse

BGITimelapse is an annual fest organised by the Bansal Group of Institutions. Previously named Bansal Utsav, this festival is organised in Bhopal and Indore. This time BGI Timelapse is going to be great and will mark the presence of the Bollywood star, Farhan Akhtar.

4. RENDEZVOUS, IIT Delhi

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi's cultural festival Rendezvous, one of the most well-known, is reported to gather a crowd of about 50,000 students from nearly 350 colleges dispersed across the nation.

Every year in October, this four-day festival features a variety of competitive competitions, including stage plays, street plays, cue games, contests for Western and Eastern group songs, street painting, parliamentary debates, Ad-Mad, quizzing activities, and photography, among others. Bigwig, Kaleidoscope, Blitzkrieg, and Dhoom are the four significant events that contributed to all the anticipation surrounding Rendezvous.

5. INCIDENT, NITK

Incident is the National Institute of Technology Karnataka's (NITK) annual cultural festival, which takes place in Surathkal, Karnataka, India. It is regarded as the second-largest college festival in the nation. It lasts for five days and takes place in March. The festival was first held in the 1980s, and it has since grown every year.

The festival gathers students from various institutions across India and features professional performances by well-known artists in addition to a number of competitive events.

Events including singing contests like Bandish (for eastern classical music) and Pulse (for western heavy metal), as well as dance contests like solo dance, couple dance, street dance, Tandav, and Promenade (for western group dance), are held throughout this five-day festival.
